Racing Gets Underway in Style at the 2025 ILCA U21 Europeans
Champagne sailing conditions brightened the second day of competition at the 2025 ILCA Under 21 European Championships & Open European Trophy — which was also the first day of racing after yesterday’s lack of wind in Split.
With steady winds averaging 12 to 16 knots and one-meter waves, only some general recalls and technical issues prevented the day from being completely straightforward. Despite that, all three fleets managed to complete three races, returning to the boat park around 15:00 to relax and enjoy a warm meal.
The following are the provisional results:

Provisional results
ILCA 6
- Emma Mattivi ITA 11 pt
- Ginevra Caracciolo ITA 14 pt
- Marga Perello ESP 15 pt
- Maria Vitoria Arseni ITA 22 pt
- Isabella Mendoza Cabezas USA 24 pt

ILCA 7
- Athanasios Kyfidis GRE 6 pt
- Erik Norlen SWE 7 pt
- Ole Schweckendiek GER 7 pt
- Hubert Roszyk POL 11 pt
- Mark Hestbaek DEN 12 pt

3 new races are scheduled for tomorrow, with the first warning signal set for 10:00.
