No Races on Day 1 at the 2025 ILCA Under 21 Europeans

The first day of the 2025 ILCA Under 21 European Championships & Open European Trophy in Split brought light and unstable conditions, preventing any races from being completed.

After a two-hour postponement on shore due to lack of wind, sailors were invited to launch their boats by fleets in 15-minute intervals. Once on the racecourse, the wind was around 4 knots at 13:15 but soon began to drop.

After an hour of waiting on the water, with the breeze down to just 2 knots, the Race Committee raised AP over Alpha, signaling the end of racing for the day and sending all three fleets back to the club, where sailors were welcomed with warm meals.

The forecast predicts better sailing conditions for tomorrow, with winds averaging around 12 knots and gusts reaching up to 20.

3 races are scheduled, with the first warning signal set for 10:00.

The event is organised by JK Mornar and EurILCA.
